Apps
itTaxi (Rome's official app) and FREE NOW call regular white taxis. Uber runs as private hire (UberX, Black), usually 10–20% above taxis; the airport flat fare doesn't apply to it.

- Licensed Rome taxis are white with a TAXI sign. Cars of any other colour are not official.
- Unofficial drivers in Fiumicino arrivals ask 80–120 €. Go to the rank at the exit.
- On a flat fare there should be no meter and no extras for luggage, passengers or a 'tourist tax'.
- Taxis must accept cards from 5 €. Complaints in Rome: 06-0609.
